About Grisette

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Gray
  • Location: 32503

Grisette means little gray one in French.    She was discovered at a residential property in Jay, FL that was in foreclosure.  The  kind-hearted  Realtor  took home as many of the cats as she could but little, pregnant Grisette eluded capture.  None of Grisette’s litter survived.  Animal Allies was able to trap her and she  has been in foster care since then at the same home.  She may be a full Russian Blue but under these circumstances, that cannot be verified.

If are motivated to work with a true rescue kitty such as Grisette, to put in the time and  have  patience, you will be greatly rewarded.  She initially will be extremely shy, hiding in small spaces for weeks on end, coming out only to eat and use the litter box. But gradually, she will start showing herself to you from a safe distance food is a great motivator for  her.  Once  she feels safe you will see  that Grisette  is very affectionate and needs love and caresses on a frequent basis.  She is comically seductive, losing her balance when she tries to twist herself into a cute pose !  One of her favorite ways to get your attention is to  perch  on the side of the litterbox while you scoop, insisting on love.  Grisette tolerates other cats but has always been one to keep to herself. She is playful and athletic.  One look at those gorgeous lagoon green eyes and you are under her spell.

Her adoption fee is $65.00 which includes up-to-date shots, FeLV test (negative) and spay surgery that is already done. Grisette is litterbox trained.
