Carmella was abandoned, pregnant, at a hotel and brought to a good human by one of the hotel employees. Carmella is very affectionate and social with people. She’s a “velcro cat”, following you around, hanging out with you, and wanting to know where you are. She’s happy to sleep near the bed or in it, as long as she’s close by. She gives lots of kisses and purrs. Carmella will be a wonderful companion to have around. Like most calicos, she’s smart, inquisitive and spunky. She has a high energy level and a strong play drive. Her favorite game is playing with the Da Bird wand and foster mom, jumping and pouncing until she is panting and tired. She’s a lot of fun.

She doesn’t like to be alone behind a closed door or in a carrier, and she’ll let you know about it. Carmella doesn’t tolerate other cats and will need to be an only pet. (We don’t know about dogs, but seriously doubt it. ) We think she’s pretty set on having her house and her people to herself. Maybe later, once she’s securely established as queen of her new home, another pet might be introduced, but we shouldn’t count on it.

Our adoption fees are $75.00 for any kitty 6 months of age or older. $85 for kittens under 6 months of age. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website aaFlorida.org/adopt.  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at Adoptions@aaFlorida.org.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.
